At the heart of High School Taskers is a founding team driven by execution, imagination, and impact. Together, they bring decades of experience across entrepreneurship, technology, education, and digital marketing—fusing real-world grit with strategic thinking to build a platform that empowers students to launch and run community-based businesses. Our high school student need to graduate with the financial literacy, confidence and a toolbox of entrepreneurial chops to execute on their ambitions.
CEO / Founder
Sean is a seasoned entrepreneur who has built and scaled multiple successful media and technology companies. He founded ScreamingMedia, (acquired by CBS MarketWatch for $103M), Critical Mention, (acquired for $43M) and co-founded BigVu, a video creation and social marketing app with over 40,000 subscribers. Having raised $40M in venture capital and led companies from launch through exit, Sean brings strategic vision and deep product expertise to Taskers, with a focus on helping students gain real-world experience before they graduate. In Taskers Workshops Sean focuses on mentoring Taskers Student Entrepreneurs strategy, ideation and finance. He reviews with each Students' StartUp team their marketing and financial performance in Google and QuickBooks dashboards.
CMO
Dane leads brand, content, and growth strategy at High School Taskers. Dane is a professor of digital marketing at NYU, where he teaches strategy, storytelling, and audience development. With a strong foundation in education, Dane's focus is helping students, families, and communities understand the value of student-led entrepreneurship and scale that story nationally without losing its local relevance. In Taskers Workshops Dane teaches each student startup team marketing strategy. From the development of creative, the launching of social marketing campaigns to families in the communities to the tracking of each capaigns effectiveness in Google Analytics.
VP Design
Mike oversees Taskers web and mobile design. A technologist and systems builder, he brings decades of experience designing, testing, and scaling complex digital platforms across technology, education, and nonprofit sectors. In Taskers Workshops Mike teaches the students the fundamentals of web design and creativity. Working with each startup team, they make continual modification to their Services Business website.
