HIGH SCHOOL TASKERS, A PUBLIC BENEFIT LLC
COMMUNITY CUSTOMER AGREEMENT
This Customer Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between High School Taskers, a Public Benefit LLC ("Taskers," "we," "us," or "our"), and you, the customer ("Customer," "you," or "your"). By creating an account, booking, or using the Taskers platform, you agree to the terms below.

1. Community‑First Program Overview
High School Taskers is a community‑based, student‑led entrepreneurship program. Students (generally ages 16+) launch, operate, and grow real local service businesses that serve families in their community.
Taskers is not a school program, not a municipal program, and not an employer of the students. Taskers operates a community platform and support program that enables families to engage local student‑run businesses while students gain real‑world experience in entrepreneurship, responsibility, and customer service.
Taskers may receive philanthropic or program support from the Taskers Foundation (a 501(c)(3)) to help launch and operate community programs. Such support does not create any agency, partnership, employment, or joint venture relationship with Customers, Students, schools, or municipalities.

2. Educational & Community Purpose
In addition to facilitating Services, Taskers provides a real‑world startup learning environment where participating students learn how to:
-
Launch and price services
-
Communicate with customers
-
Manage scheduling and operations
-
Understand basic marketing and financial concepts
Taskers offers optional workshops, resources, and guidance to support student learning. Participation in educational workshops is optional and students remain responsible for balancing academic, extracurricular, and family commitments.

3. Always‑On Community Communication
Taskers provides an in‑app group communication channel between:
-
The Customer
-
The Student Tasker
-
The Taskers Services Team
This channel exists to support community safety, transparency, and issue resolution (e.g., check‑ins, schedule changes, access questions, or concerns).
Required check‑ins may include: (a) "On My Way" (if applicable), (b) "Arrived," and (c) "Completed." Certain services may request brief photo confirmation.
Customers agree to:
-
Communicate only through the platform
-
Respond reasonably to messages
-
Avoid off‑platform payments or coordination
If a situation appears unsafe or communication breaks down, the Student may decline or end the service and notify the Taskers Services Team.

4. Payment Processing & Revenue Sharing
All payments are processed through the Taskers platform at the time of booking.
Students providing Services are independent contractors operating their own student-run businesses, not employees of Taskers, any school, or any municipality.
After deducting a program service fee (generally up to 25%), Taskers remits approximately 75% of gross service revenue to student providers for non-vocational services. Tips paid through the platform go entirely to the student.

Use of Program Service Fee (Community Transparency)
The Taskers program service fee exists to support the legitimate, ongoing costs required to safely operate and sustain a community-based, student-led entrepreneurship program, including but not limited to:
-
Technology platform development, hosting, security, and payment processing fees
-
Background operations and customer support (including Always-On communication and issue resolution)
-
Insurance administration, compliance, and risk-management infrastructure
-
Student onboarding, training resources, and optional workshops
-
Community launch costs, marketing, and local outreach
-
Administrative, legal, accounting, and regulatory compliance expenses
These costs ensure that students can focus on operating their businesses while families receive a reliable, well-supported community experience. The program service fee is not a wage, not a commission paid to students, and not a municipal or school fee.
Vocational or licensed programs (where applicable) may include educational credit, scholarship participation, or other program-specific structures disclosed at booking.

5. Independent Contractor Relationship
All Student Taskers are independent contractors. Taskers:
-
Does not supervise or control how Services are performed
-
Does not provide employment benefits
-

Customers hire Student Taskers at their own discretion and risk and agree to provide a reasonably safe environment for Services to be performed.

6. Community Risk Allocation & Indemnification

-

11. No Circumvention (Community Fairness)
Customers agree not to hire Student Taskers directly outside the platform during or after participation. Circumvention undermines the community program and constitutes a material breach.

12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State in which the Services are performed.

13. Acceptance
By using the Taskers platform, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this community‑first, student‑led model, including the independent contractor relationship and risk allocation described above.
