Launching Student-Led Startups.

Building Community-Powered Economies.

Your gift doesn’t fund a program; it launches a permanent community asset.

The Taskers Foundation exists to bring Community Taskers to every community;  to close the gap between the textbook and the real-world, and make sure our high schoolers graduate with the confidence and business chops to excel - whether that be entering the workforce, or continuing  their education in college or the trades. Providing real earning and entrepreneurial opportunity and education.

Community Taskers turns neighborhoods into startup ecosystems where students ages 16+ launch and operate real service businesses that meet real local needs. The Foundation removes the financial barrier so communities can activate this model and sustain it long-term.

Your support brings Taskers to life in these first two communities—creating real income, real skills, and real opportunity for local students.

Our goal is $75,000 per community — to fund student training, program operations, and community launch.

Launch Taskers in Your Community?

One Gift. One Community. Lasting Impact.

No endless fundraising. No recurring asks.

A single Community Launch Gift funds each Community Taskers in a new community for a lifetime. By Year 2, that Community Taskers becomes self-sustaining through student-run enterprise revenue—requiring no additional grants or donations.

This is catalytic philanthropy:
a one-time investment that creates ongoing economic opportunity.

Join the Movement

Help us launch Taskers in more underserved communities. Every donation moves another group of students closer to career readiness, financial independence, and real-world success.

Give today — and help build the next generation of entrepreneurs.

OUR PURPOSE - Why We Exist

Across the country, our high school students graduate without meaningful work experience, financial literacy, or the confidence to execute on their ambitions. These gaps are prevalent in the wealthiest and poorest of communities.

Community Taskers addresses this by embedding a real business launchpad directly into the community.

Students don’t simulate entrepreneurship—they live it.
They serve real families, earn real income, and develop real confidence.

The Taskers Foundation ensures this opportunity isn’t limited to communities with existing funding or institutional support. Our role is simple and focused: remove the startup cost so the model can take root and grow on its own.

Local dollars circulate locally—strengthening families and neighborhoods.

Student-Led Service Startups
Students launch and operate real businesses such as: Tutoring, dog-walking, car washing and detailing, event staffing, barbering and cosmetology services, snow removal, music lessons, and more—based on local demand.

How the Model Sustains Itself

Community Taskers is built to last.

Once launched:

  • Students earn income

  • Families book trusted local services

  • Revenue supports ongoing operations

What We're Hearing from the Taskers Eco-System

“The people behind Taskers have built real startups, raised real money, brought companies public, and sold companies. They’re teaching us how this stuff actually works.”

I was not the best student, it took me 7 years to graduate college. I made a living (if you could call it that) rock-climbing until I was 31. My climbing business would do like $200K in revenue a year, but i was still unable to make a living. I learned entrepreneurship through the school of hard knocks. But I learned from my many mistakes.

My entrepreneurial spirit was ignited, and it is 100% true that you learn the most from your mistakes. I went on to co-found ScreamingMedia, built it to $23MM in revenue and sold it to CBS Marketwatch for $103M. I founded Critical Mention, sold that for $43MM. CoFounded BigVu a video creation and social marketing app that is downloaded every 30-seconds around the world.

A congressman in NY asked me if I would go into high schools and give inspirational talks to the kids. He thought the kids could relate to me. After all, I am not Harvard, Yale, Stanford, not at all, I am a graduate from SUNY. I was a rock-climber until the age of 31, living upstate like a hippie.

I loved these speaking engagements, but what I saw was a huge gap between the textbook theory these kids were being taught and the real-world.

I knew there had to be a way to put a startup in the hands of high school kids and mentor them on how to launch, operate and grow a local business. Enter COMMUNITY TASKERS!!

Had a seasoned entrepreneur mentored me when i was 16 and 17, helped me launch and grow a small startup in my hometown, I would have learned to "smell the money", it would have changed everything for me.

“The Taskers program is so innovative, It truly can complete the circle by combining the great theoretical knowledge our passionate teachers provide with the real-world business acumen needed to succeed. This is not a "simulation". Our students are building real local businesses, learning digital marketing, significantly advancing their financial literacy. No doubt, bolstering their skills and giving them the confidence to pursue their ambitions. We look forward to figuring out how to partner with Taskers."

I can't wait for Taskers to launch at our school. The kids will be Learning & Earning. The whole community will get behind this. Finally, a platform for all of us to hire the students. Our son will apply to be the GM of the Taskers Car Washing Startup!
